The Iwaki Nordic – Group includes IWAKI-companies in Denmark, Finland, Norway and in Sweden. We conduct business fairly and ethically, respecting human rights, and complying with international laws and regulations.
The IWAKI Nordic – Group support the international effort to end conflict and violence in Central Africa, specifically the Democratic Republic of Congo and adjoining countries. Much of the violence is funded by the sale of tin, tungsten, tantalum, and gold (3TG’s) that are mined in that region. Proceeds from the sale of these “conflict minerals” finance militant groups that use forced labor, and fight for control of the mines.
The ’Conflict Minerals’ is defined in the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform – Section 1502 from 2010. The rules require manufacturers to report whether the products they manufacture contain 3TG’s (conflict minerals) necessary to the functionality or production of those products.
The IWAKI Nordic –Group does not intentionally add or use 3TG’s in any products or production processes.
Iwaki Nordic – Group’s Suppliers
We expect our Suppliers use “DRC Conflict Free” materials. which means either:
- any 3TGs necessary to the functionality or production of supplied materials must not directly or indirectly fund armed conflict in the DRC or adjoining countries
- any 3TGs must be from recycled or scrap sources.
Our suppliers must adopt conflict minerals policies consistent with Iwaki Nordic – Groups policy.
Suppliers must provide IWAKI Nordic – Group with Conflict Minerals Reports.

Suppliers’ obligations
IWAKI Nordic – Group’s suppliers must undertake reasonable due diligence with their supply chain to ensure compliance. This due diligence includes having our suppliers provide written evidence documenting that raw materials (tin, tungsten, tantalum and gold) used in components and products supplied to IWAKI Nordic – Group, originate from outside the “Conflict Region” or if they originate from within the “Conflict Region”, that the mines or smelters be certified as “conflict free”.
The aim is to ensure that only “conflict free” materials and components are used in our products.
Suppliers that do not comply with the above will be reviewed by the IWAKI Nordic – Group in relation to future business.
